How many purses should you own

Maybe go through your bags to see which ones you really use a lot, and the rest "retire" to another part of your home where they are not as accessible. If you find yourself going into your stored stash for a bag, then that one should also be in your current use bags.

After a period of time, maybe 6 months to a year I do a year since I wear things seasonally , sell off or donate the ones you really don't need. I have about 10 bags right now but a few are going for resale since I really don't want them they are listed as "failures" on Una's thread.

I have 2 leather messengers in navy and red that I wear a lot, a cognac leather tote that I will wear a lot when I redye it dark brown, and a olive hobo that I also wear at times. I also have 2 beaded evening purses but don't consider these daily bags. So 3 to 6 is ideal for me. You will decide what is right for you -- keep more if you use more. I agree that it's nice to have a variety.

When I feel like I have too many, I take a look and see if there are any I don't use or enjoy anymore. I've gotten much more choosy lately, so the bag that never seems large enough for the occasions I want to use it? The bag that's looking worn out?

A nice bag, but I haven't used it in over a year? But there's nothing wrong with a collection of bags! Keep as many as you use and love, and for which you have space. Bags can really mix up a look, so I don't think there is a set number here. It's more about your personal need to remix up your look with a bag. Striving for a more minimalized collection, now I am down to 13 bags. Still quite a few, but I swap them out less often weekly or biweekly instead of daily.

I'll always have a few bags that sit. I like a seasonal bag for the summer months which sits the rest of the year. And a special occasion bag which is used only a couple times a year for dressy occasions. I really had to look at him funny for that one. Too many jeans? I'll buy that. Too many cashmere sweaters? But too many bags?

I think it depends on whether they are getting used. I probably have too many at only 6 or 7 because I really only use one for months at a time. I might switch to a clutch for an occassion, but then it's right back to the 'daily' bag the next day. My answer: as many as fit in your handbag storage space! You want at least a few bags to go with a few different looks—business casual, casual, professional, fun….

How many purses is too many? Personally, I have around three or four bags. This bag should be higher quality, so I would recommend a slightly higher budget, a neutral colour and be functional for what you need.

When it comes to choosing a professional bag that you can cart back and forth to the office, to business lunches and after-work happy hours, the first thing that comes to mind is a classic bucket-shaped tote in black.

I recommend going for a classic bag like this in a neutral tone like black, brown or beige, especially if the main purpose of it is to use it as your professional tote! This is one of the best purses for commuting to work because of its crossbody design and the fact that you can fit your average inch laptop in it. Not to mention it has a serious boss lady vibe. I also recommend sticking with a neutral colour — black, brown, beige — so that it can blend perfectly with any business outfit.

I personally own two Matt and Nat purses. One is a retired weekender bag and one is a smaller same-shaped tote mine are lilac and pale yellow, respectively. Both are perfect for work, travel and casual occasions! While backpacks can look a little elementary, if you gravitate towards one that has a neutral tone and a trendy look you should be good to go in the office!

A professional backpack can also double as a great overnight back! Your evening purse is the one you take out on the town for a Friday night with the girls. This bag should be smaller and functional likely with a strap or a handle and needs to be able to hold your basics, and maybe a lipstick or two.

But beyond that, it can be anything you want! This bag is a simple crossbody with one main cavity and a discrete pocket inside. The closure is a simple flap and it looks good with pretty much any outfit—from jeans to a dress.

Using a wristlet means that you have to keep your packing to a minimum — and I mean really minimum, money, keys and phone. Many of the bags I own are sitting among clothing that I too will never use again. I have somewhat accepted the fact somewhat!

There are options if I were to sell my bags. I could donate some or sell them and use profits to donate to a charity, which would make me feel good about what I was doing with them. But for right now, I am set in keeping the majority of them, and I am not sure what that says about me. Does it make me a hoarder or a collector? And I feel like there may be a fine line between the two, one which I am walking ever so closely. Real Talk. Connect with D. I allow to create an account.
