Zoe and Joel are ready to find a more permanent place to live and find the perfect place is actually owned by a relative of Zoe's biological father's relatives.

Ready to blame it all on Wade, Zoe does her best to entice Joel back into writing. Lavon is using the excuse of coaching his track team to avoid talking to AnnaBeth. Meanwhile, Lemon encourages Brick to start dating again, and George and Lynly discuss whether they want to talk to Lavon about their feelings for each other.

S3, Ep8. Joel's grandmother visits for an early Hanukkah party and tells Zoe to invite her relatives. Zoe manages to get her uncle to attend. Brick learns he is not the father of Shelby's child. Wade has a toothache. S3, Ep9. When Zoe learns that Wade is interested in dating someone close to her, she tries everything she can do to put a stop to it. Lavon enlists George to help save BlueBell from merging with another town. To help keep the town in the dark about the planned merger, Zoe uses Joel and AnnaBeth to create a scandalous distraction to throw people off the trail.

Meanwhile, Brick starts dating again, but finds himself in a tough predicament when someone from his past resurfaces. Early on, Wade pretended he was in a romantic relationship with Lemon until he actually found one with Zoe's cousin Vivian.

Zoe can pretend she didn't notice or care, but the way Wade acted with Vivian was everything a girl could hope for in an adult relationship. He was the ideal balance of romantic and playful and was the perfect father figure for Vivian's son. George had the most interesting season as far as relationships go. At first, he went AWOL and returned in less-than-ideal condition. Next, he went a little girl crazy, looking to Lynley Hayes and Tansy as his bandaids.

Then, in the final episode of the season he realizes his love for Lemon. The two had an accidental sexual encounter that he couldn't get out of his mind and it turned into serious feelings that he's on a mission to confess. Something about dating Lavon and going against her best friend's wishes to be friends with Zoe moved Annabeth up a few pegs on my favorite characters list.

She took total control when Lemon shunned the Belles and was stronger than most girls would be when she ended things with Lavon. Davis Polk was right to fall in love with her even if she couldn't return the favor. Lavon couldn't tell Annabeth that she's the love of his life because he's still under the impression that Lemon is.

In Lemon's defense, she became kind of awesome in Season 3, too, and definitely deserves a happy ending — but it's not with Lavon.

That was so first season. Elsewhere, Lemon finds herself in hot water with the Belles after she tries to overthrow the current leader. Meanwhile, George finds himself needing medical attention during a tutoring session with Lynly, forcing him to call Zoe for help. After Lemon's fallout with the Belles, she is blacklisted from the Junior League Halloween Masquerade party, so she calls her Grandma Bettie for help and lands herself a date with another of Alabama's most eligible bachelors.

She later reveals late night dates were too much for her as a single mom. Lavon and the town try to convince the Lt. Governor that BlueBell should be named a historic town.

Zoe and Joel still can't find a place to live and their dream apartment is owned by Vivian's aunt who hates New Yorkers. Vivian's son won't warm up to Wade.
